Rebekka's figures often bend and distort, filling the frame or floating into oblivion so as to allow traditional space to fall away completely. Their pre-occupation with interior anxieties have lead to visual exploration of Mental Health themes, Techno Dystopias, the Geographies of Gender and more generally the existentialism of navigating tumultuous systems of power, both algorithmic and social.

With this grounding they move between Editorial, Comics, Animation and Writing, bringing an interdisciplinary spirit to their educational work as a Senior Lecturer at University of the Arts and a Guiding Mentor at SVA’s MFA Visual Narrative program.

Dispatching images and stories from an internalized lexicon of Fairy Tales, Anime & Contemporary Design, Rebekka combines the whimsical with real world gravity.
